specializes in Cosmetic
and Reconstructive Surgery. He has resided in
Miami for nearly 30 years and is an active staff
member in several hospitals including Baptist
and South Miami Hospitals. in the Arts and Sciences from the
University of Miami in 1984 graduating with the
highest honor of summa cum laude. He obtained
his Doctorate degree in Medicine at the University
of Miami in 1988. He completed his General Surgery
training at Rush Presbyterian/St. Luke's Medical
Center in Chicago followed by a residency in Plastic
and Reconstructive Surgery at the prestigious
Northwestern University School of Medicine. During
his tenure at Northwestern University in Chicago,
Dr. Barroso was recognized by the Plastic Surgery
Educational Foundation for his research contributions.
He is presently a voluntary clinical instructor
at the University of Miami involved in the training
of young plastic surgeons. radio programs, newspaper
articles, magazine interviews, and television
shows for his work in cosmetic surgery. His research
with Endoscopic Browlifts has been presented in
national meetings including the American Society
for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and the American
Society of Plastic and Surgeons. and has lectured throughout South
America on topics related to plastic surgery.
He attracts patients from around the world and
is familiar with the great diversity of people
in our community.
